A Mixed Pattern Wedding {Style Board}

I’m sending you off into the weekend with a little prettiness. A chic fashion trend I’ve been keeping an eye on and maybe even practicing a little myself: mixed patterns. Your leopard scarf with that stripped blouse or polka dot skirt with your floral print cami – when done right, its lovely.

So I took on the task of translating this stylish craze into the world of weddings for you. The idea that you can utterly enhance your wedding’s style by just choosing the right patterns or in this case mixed patterns, is a detail I just love. I’ve put together five styles including mixed patterns fit for any affair. Mix up these patterns between your linens, napkins, tent liners, and even stationary. Use small amounts of them in the most unassuming ways – fabric draped over chairs, ribbons fastening lanterns to trees, or even pillows on a loveseat. Bring mixed patterns into your bridal party (without the obvious mix match bridesmaid dress) through his bow tie, pocket square, or the ribbon tied to your bridesmaid’s bouquet. I find it to be a concept that gives the perception of conscious thought put into every. last. detail. So consider the style board below, take a trip to your local fabric store, or just find inspiration in patterns you love.
