One thing I love about my job is that I get to fall head over heels, over and over and over again every day. Every week I have a new favorite gown, floral design, color, or even venue. I am constantly kept on my toes with the next gorgeous shoot, insanely creative couple, or crazy talented photographer. This industry is just plain nuts, and I love it. Well today’s Moroccan/Boho styled shoot, photographed by Joleen Willis, has definitely made the short list of beauty I’ve fallen in love with. The talented team of artists who dreamt up this cultural masterpiece filled with earthy textures, vibrant colors, and some super on par style, have really done it this time. My favorite swoon-worthy details? His AND her hair, the entire cake vignette, her handmade bouquet, and the subtlety of traditional henna. The perfect ending to lovely week.
From the photographer:
This shoot was inspired by Moroccan culture, with an American, boho bridal twist. Together with a team of creative professionals, the Moroccan/Boho vibe of the shoot found it’s way to a desert landscape, where the muted tones of the dry earth provided the backdrop for the pieces, style, and a summery palette of bright oranges, and golds. All of the vendors involved did their respective research for special insight into Moroccan culture, adapting each addition for American Bridal. The food was especially Moroccan specific, featuring mint tea, olives, cous cous and a carrot salad with black rice, drizzled with harissa vinaigrette. The salad added just the right amount of color and texture to the table. Keeping even more with Moroccan specific details, a local henna artist offered her talents, displaying traditional henna as a modern bridal adornment, no matter the culture.
