Ginger {Styled Drinks}

Mmmm, who the heck doesn’t just love a little pinch ginger. In a cocktail? Yes, please. We’re leaving you on this Friday with a few ways we recommend doing just that. Earlier this summer we teamed up with one of our photographer besties, Josh Gruetzmacher, to bring you some gorgeous, delicious, AND practical ginger drink suggestions for your big day, and even beyond. So go on, read below, and do some “experimental” sipping on these yummy drinks over the weekend. You won’t be disappointed.

Ginger Limade

Perfect for a pre-ceremony non-alcoholic refresher. Not only does it lend itself nicely for some super fun styling, BUT it’s entirely too easy to make in large quantities. Trust us, our minds were blown. You get the quality and quantity in one fell swoop here.

Ingredients:

  • 8 cups water
  • 2 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1/2 cup chopped fresh ginger
  • 2 cups lime juice
  • 4 cups chilled ginger ale
Mix 8 cups water, 2 1/2 cups sugar and 1/2 cup chopped fresh ginger in a heavy pan over medium heat; stir until sugar has dissolved. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low and simmer for 5 minutes. Cool completely; strain. In a large pitcher combine sugar syrup, 2 cups fresh lime juice and 4 cups chilled ginger ale. Serve over ice.
